Reunite Siham and Naseem Now: Panel and Art Build
Siham will be heading back to court April 29th, where she will continue fighting to be reunited with her 10-year old son, Naseem. Similar to Siham & Naseem, there are thousands of families who have been ripped apart by the U.S. imperialist government and are fighting daily to reunite and heal from the trauma inflicted upon them by the state.
This panel will serve as an opportunity to discuss the manifestations of state violence and repression on various struggles that, at face value, may seem different, but which have many commonalities. Siham’s case is a microcosm of this. Her story is intimately related to the broader issues of immigrant rights, political repression, motherhood and organizing, white supremacy, police terror, and threat of sexual violence. After the panel, we will transition into a socializing/community building time in the form of an art build for the court hearings.
Please join us at The City School in Dorchester to have this critical discussion and to mobilize around the upcoming court hearings for Siham.
Food and drinks will be provided. Childcare and gender neutral bathrooms will be available.
